After completing my Ph. D in Astrophysics, I was awarded an NSERC grant for Industrial Post-Doctoral research. With this grant in hand, I joined the ranks of the world’s leader in white light 3D digitizing hardware, InSpeck. Inc. Inspeck Inc. was later Acquired by Creaform. As a scientific developer for InSpeck, I acquired enviable experience in 3D acquisition, modeling and editing. This experience carried over to a short period as a game developer at Ubisoft in Québec City.
I joined the ranks of Optosecurity’s software team in January 2007 as a scientific developer and soon moved to the Liquids Detection R&D team where my experience in physics played a pivotal role over the different incarnations of Optosecurity’s liquid detection software.
My work and passion for scientific challenges helped my quick climb up the ranks at Optoscecurity as I was promoted in 2009 to Senior Technology Architect and then to head the entire team as Director of Technology Engineering. In 2010, then entire software team also became my responsibility.
Optosecurity has since become the only provider of liquid detection software that acheives ECAC’s highest standard for type C detection equipment for single view X-Ray machines, providing a multi-vendor, as well as a multi-view x-ray solution.
My team also developed eVelocity, an ERM software that now helps airport better manage budget and screening resources to help with throughput at terminal checkpoints.
My acquired expertise in the field of airport security is currently continuing as part of the Morpho detection team.
